Samantha Jiménez was appointed as a Legal Advisor to Sheriff Kelly Martinez in 2023. She is responsible for providing legal advice to the Law Enforcement Services Bureau and on requests concerning the California Public Records Act, subpoenas, and discovery.

Prior to joining the Sheriff's Office, Samantha represented individuals in their cases before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Samantha earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola Marymount University.

Samantha is a member of the California State Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
