If your court case number is in the format: 37-2024-12345678-CL-CL-CTL, when entering the case number into the Civil File Status System, enter the numbers with the dashes, but do not include the letters at the end of the case number.  Example: 37-2024-01234567

Notice regarding known issue with the Civil File Status System

The file system is having an issue with the new San Diego Unlawful Detainer (UD) case numbers (24UD123456C).  Occasionally, when searching for an eviction file using the zip code, and court case number, the file system will display the wrong file information.  If this happens, you will need to contact one of the Civil Division offices to obtain your file number.  This issue has been reported to our software vendor, and they are working to determine the cause.
