The Off-Road Enforcement Team (ORET) is a branch of Law Enforcement Reserves funded by the California State Parks, Off-Highway Vehicle program. ORET works closely with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office's Search and Rescue Unit, enforcing vehicle violations and giving medical aid to injured off-road motorists. ORET is a collateral assignment for qualified Law Enforcement Reserves.

Off-Highway Vehicle Grant Request Public Notice
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office invites public input on grant requests submitted to the California State Parks, Off-Highway Division, on behalf of the Sheriff’s Off-Road Enforcement Team (ORET).
ORET has submitted a preliminary application for the 2024-2025 Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program (G24-03-17-L01).
