Since July 1, 2021, all phone calls from San Diego County Sheriff's Office jails have been free. Local, long distance, and international calls are free. A person can make unlimited phone calls per day. To give everyone equal opportunity to use the phone, each call will be limited to 15 minutes.
To afford everyone the opportunity for remote video visitation with their loved ones, video visits are limited to two 30-minute video visits per week.

***Due to a recent change in the phone system provider for our incarcerated population, calls from inside our detention facilities are coming from the number 727-349-1561. It has come to our attention some mobile carriers are identifying this number in their spam settings and calls from incarcerated persons may be filtered out. To ensure you receive these calls, please program this number into your phone or contact your phone provider to unblock this number. We are working toward additional solutions and will post any additional changes here. ***
All incarcerated persons telephone calls will be recorded unless the call is made to a number that has been verified by the Detention Investigations Unit (DIU) as registered to an attorney, physician or religious advisor; and entered into the "Do Not Record" database of telephone numbers. DIU can be reached at (858) 285 -2051.
